Juneteenth is a holiday that commemorates the June 19, 1865, announcement of the abolition of slavery in Texas, and, more generally, the emancipation of African-American slaves throughout the Confederate South.
Join us at the York County Library as Lil’ Lilly Ann (Carol Dawson) shares her story of jubilee at the very first
Juneteenth. There will be storytelling songs, games and a quilt square craft.
