Season 13 of the Clover School District Performing Art Series kicks off this month with Musician, Alison Brown.
Alison began playing the guitar at age 8 and picked up the banjo two years later. As a teenager she honed her skills performing around Southern California. At 16, she won the Canadian National Banjo Championship.
No one knows exactly how to classify her music, not even Brown, herself. “It’s blue-jazz pop grass, with a translucent overlying, distinctly feminine quality,” she says.
