Another highly requested encore for the McCelvey stage is the Steep Canyon Rangers. Representing the musical genre of bluegrass in a respectful and authentic way, the Steep Canyon Rangers guide their listeners on a contemporary course. Their songwriting is crafty and their agile picking is laced with sprightly harmonies. Their album “Nobody Knows You,” won a 2013 Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album. The band’s most recent release, “Tell The Ones I love,” was recorded almost entirely live, reflecting the spirit of their concerts.
