Annual “Come Draw with Me Day” offers drawing opportunities for artists and want-to-be artists of all ages. Visitors can join professional and student artists in sketching and rendering drawings taken from the museum’s vast collection of natural history specimens.
Professional artists will be on site demonstrating a variety of visual art techniques in watercolor, acrylics, shading techniques with pencil, graphic design on the computer, and photography. Youngsters can draw with chalk and crayons and try sculpting with clay in the museum classroom. Visitors can bring their own sketch book and materials or create their own sketch books out of recycled materials as a classroom activity.
Free event with Museum Admission ($6 Adults, $5 Seniors, $3 Youth, FREE to CHM members & ages 3 & younger)
